The DAP NRG-8 is a passive full-range loudspeaker rated at 400 watts peak (120 watts continuous RMS). It uses an 8” woofer and a 1” compression driver. With a sensitivity of 93 dB/W/m, the NRG-8 comfortably plays up to 114 dB with peaks of up to 126 dB. The compression driver is coupled to a rotatable horn with a directivity of 90° × 60°. The woofer has a low cut-off point of 80 Hertz (-6 dB).
The sturdy, lightweight plywood cabinet has a double-angled top hat (0° and 5°), allowing you to point the cabinet downwards when mounting it on a pole. It uses 4-pole speaker in and thru connectors and offers an additional 4-pin terminal connector, which is especially useful for permanent installation applications. To get the most out of the NRG-8, we recommend using a 4th order high-pass filter at 60 Hertz and adding an NRG series subwoofer.
